Ana’s own interests and hobbies led her to pursue a career in personal training; first as a casual runner, turned marathoner and later as a triathlete. These activities inadvertently led Ana to the field of strength and conditioning which helped her on and off the field. As a personal trainer Ana wants to share her passion for fitness to motivate, educate and inspire others to meet their own personal goals.
Living in the PNW Ana will find any excuse to get her to the outdoors, when not in the gym you can bet that she is either out on a bike ride, trail run, hiking, stand-up paddling…the list goes on!
In 2012 Chase started competing in jiu jitsu and realized that he could help others find passion for sport and competition also. Turning to personal training allowed him to continue to be extremely active but also teach people new skills and have fun! With his background in martial arts, Chase takes his competitive nature and channels it by helping his clients get STRONG in the gym! Chase has been a member of Team SSP since 2011.
As a football and basketball player during his grade school years, Chris was active in his youth but digressed while in college at the University of Washington and post-college as he progressed in his corporate career in technology, where he spent close to a decade at Amazon.
In 2013, Chris decided to take control of his health. At this point, he was pushing 300 pounds and letting the stress of his job take a toll on his nutrition, sleep, and overall health. Two events in 2013 helped to shift his mindset to ensure his own health was a priority: 1) the upcoming birth of his daughter, and 2) a Spartan Race he completed with friends. His first step was to enter a gym, and thankfully, he found SSP. Over 4 years, he built strength and got healthy as an active member of this community.
In 2018, Chris became inspired by his own transformation experience and passionate about how he can give back to others. When he is not at the gym, you can find him running Spartan Races at longer and longer distances and hanging with his wife, 6 year old daughter and dog. Chris is a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT, FNS), a Precision Nutrition L1 Certified Coach (PN1), Spartan Race SGX Certified Coach, Girls Gone Strong Certified Pre & Postnatal Coach (GGS-CPPC), Functional Movement Systems L1 Certified (FMS-L1), Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms), and a BioForce Certified Conditioning Coach.
Jay has worked in the health & fitness industry for over 16 years. His career began with a brief stint in the field of physical therapy which he then transitioned over to a career in personal training. He trained for over a decade at a private gym where he gained valuable experience working with people of various ages and abilities. In 2010, Jay’s desire to continually learn and improve his craft, as well as the drive to help others reach their health and fitness goals led to the birth of Seattle Strength & Performance.
When he’s not at the gym, you can find Jay with his wife and three children, oftentimes at a wrestling meet or school function. Jay holds a degree in Exercise Science from Western Washington University and is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach through the National Strength & Conditioning Association as well as a Certified Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist.
Roland trained for numerous marathons as a client of SSP setting personal bests while improving his mobility, flexibility, strength & endurance. It was his success that drove him to pursue coaching to help others achieve what he had experienced. Roland truly is a “people-person” and that, along with his desire to help others succeed has been the perfect fit. In his free time he enjoys playing volleyball, is an active runner and loves snowboarding.
